Engine and chassis components from light metal casting, plastic components for vehicle exteriors, carbon body components, cockpit and equipment scopes, electric drives, spare and special engines as well as drive trains are produced at the BMW Landshut Plant. They are delivered to vehicle and assembly plants of the BMW Group all over the world.

The BMW Landshut Plant is a center for innovation and production for the future technologies lightweight and electric mobility and therefore involved with the development process of new vehicles at a very early stage.

The BMW Landshut Plant is open to visitors. Please contact us if you want to experience the fascination of automotive production. Our experts are looking forward to your visit.

Plant tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm after previous booking.

Please note: BMW Plant Landshut does currently not offer guided plant tours for wheelchair users due to the layout of the tour.

Exclusive Guided Tour


Guided tours take place Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 am to 1 pm. One of our experts will guide your group (maximum of 30 people) through the production and focus on your interests and favourite topics as far as possible. This exclusive guided tour costs 130,- Euro for a group of maximum 30 people. Exclusive tours are currently only available in German.

Exclusive Guided Tour BMW i - Future Mobility


Electric and even electrifying: BMW Plant Landshut plays a central role as a supplier of components for the BMW i3 and i8. Due to its innovative know-how BMW Plant Landshut is considered as a center of competence regarding to lightweight construction and electric mobility. We manufacture electric engines and body components made of ultra-light high-tech material CFRP (Carbon fibre-reinforced plastic). Furthermore the component supplier Landshut delivers the Cockpit of the BMW i vehicles.

Experience the production of BMW I components live and delve with our guides into the world of electric mobility. During this exclusive tour you gain insight into the production of electric engines, CFRP and Cockpits.

We offer exclusive tours for those who do not want to share the tour with other visitors, but experience the fascination of BMW in a really exclusive way. This offer is for groups at a maximum size of 15 people.The costs of the tour amount to 160,- euros (reduced: 130,- euros) and it takes about 2 hours.

Two in one guided tour „High-tech region Lower Bavaria“


Visit the high-tech region Lower Bavaria with its two BMW plants in Dingolfing and Landshut. Experience the highly innovative and specialized production areas in both plants. The plant in Dingolfing is the largest vehicle plant of the BMW Group where approximately 18.500 associates produce the BMW 3, 5, 6 and 7Series.

The required parts are also delivered from Landshut, located just 30 kilometres away. Parts made in Landshut are used in every single BMW, Mini or Rolls Royce around the world. In Landshut, highly specialized associates produce parts for plastics exterior, cockpit and equipments features, drive trains, light weight castings, super light carbon components, special engines and electric power systems.

We are very happy to offer this two in one guided tour “High-tech region Lower Bavaria” for a special price of 230 € (regular price 260 €). The guided tour will take about 5 hours.
