The BMW Leipzig Plant is one of the most modern and sustainable automobile plants in the world. The production for customers around the world began in March 2005. Up to 740 vehicles roll off the production lines every day.
In the future, the plant will not only focus on conventional vehicle production, but also on the production of electric vehicles and CFRP lightweight bodies. About 400 million Euro will be invested into a plant extension and create about 800 jobs until 2013.

Information
Gain insight into the automotive production during a guided plant tour. Experience the production of BMWs, from the welding of steel parts into car bodies, the paint shop to the individual interior equipment in the assembly.
Plant tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm.
We offer the following options for guided tours
Guided Tour (mixed group)
Guided Tours for single visitors or small group take place at fixed dates several times a week. The tours are conducted with a maximum of 30 participants. The tour takes about 2,5 hours. You can join one of these tours if you are single visitor or with a group of up to 6 people. The entrance fee is 6,- Euro per person.

Exclusive guided tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. One of our experts will guide your group (maximum of 30 people) through the production and focus on your interests and favourite topics as far as possible.
Important Information
Guided Tour for children
Children between 6 and 13 years of age can take a guided tour as well and experience BMW production. These tours are especially designed to meet the requirements of our younger visitors. We offer tours for age groups 6 to 9 and 10 to 13.
Single visitors and smaller groups (up to 6 people) can participate in single visitor tours, which take place mainly during the summer vacation. Children have to be accompanied by an adult supervisor.
Day care centres, schools and other child care facilities can participate in a group tour. One supervisor is required for 5 children.

A unique building is located right in the middle of the large production halls - the Central Building designed by the London based architect Zaha Hadid. The building connects the production areas and offers space for meetings and communication so people can experience the production process.
Experience the architectural implementation of the Central Building with our special guide tour on architecture. The tour takes about 1.5 hours and takes you through the different levels of this administration and communication centre. Take a closer look at the unique design of Zaha Hadid from different perspectives. The project is explained from the architectural competition to the realisation. Guided tours on architecture are offered as exclusive tours only.
