At BMW Group Plant Landshut, about 4,100 associates produce engine and chassis components from light metal casting, plastic components for vehicle exteriors, carbon body components, cockpit and equipment scopes, electric drives, spare and special engines, as well as drive trains. They are delivered to vehicle and assembly plants of the BMW Group all over the world.
The BMW Group Plant Landshut is a center for innovation and production for the future technologies of lightweight construction and electromobility and is therefore involved in the development of new vehicles at a very early stage.

Plant tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm after previous booking.

We offer the following options for guided tours:
Exclusive tours are designed for groups of up to 25 people who are looking for an exclusive experience of fascination for production. You can choose between a general overview of the plant and the technologies or tailor your tour to your special interests. The choices are: light metal casting, CFPR, cockpit and fittings, synthetic exterior, and electric and special engines. The tour takes 2.5 hours.
The Highlight Tour is directed at visitors, especially student groups, who want to experience the highlights of the plant within a more compact time frame. The Highlight Tour covers light metal casting, CFRP components, special and electric engines and takes between 1.5 and 2 hours.
The BMW i tour introduces the visitors to BMW Group Plant Landshut’s contributions to the BMW i models. Among these are: the CFPR body, the cockpit, and the electric engines. The focus lies on electromobility and light metal casting. The tour takes approx. 1.5 hours (15 people max.).
Visit the high-tech region Lower Bavaria with its two BMW plants in Dingolfing and Landshut. Experience the highly innovative and specialized production areas in both plants. The plant in Dingolfing is the largest vehicle plant of the BMW Group where approximately 17.500 associates produce the BMW 3, 5, 6 and 7Series.
The required parts are also delivered from Landshut, located just 30 kilometres away. Parts made in Landshut are used in every single BMW, Mini or Rolls Royce around the world. In Landshut, highly specialized associates produce parts for plastics exterior, cockpit and equipments features, drive trains, light weight castings, super light carbon components, special engines and electric power systems.
