The BMW Group Plant Regensburg is one of the most modern and sustainable factories around the world. In 1986 production of cars and components started, to be shipped to customers worldwide. The production lines carry six different vehicle types at the same time, from press shop and body shop to paint shop and assembly – individually manufacturing cars for the customers.

The BMW Group Plant Regensburg is open to visitors. Up to 25,000 guests from all over the world experience the fascination of automobile production every year. Our production experts are looking forward to your visit.

Guided tours take place Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 7 pm, as well as on Saturdays from 8.30 am to 12.15 pm after previous booking.

TOUR TYPES.

We offer the following options for guided tours.

Guided Tours for single visitors or small group take place at fixed dates several times a week. The tours are conducted with a maximum of 12 participants. The tour takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. You can join one of these tours if you are single visitor or with a group of up to 6 people.

Exclusive guided tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. One of our experts will guide your group (maximum of 12 people) through the production and focus on your interests and favourite topics as far as possible.

Exclusive Tours Plus are designed for groups of up to 12 people or individual visitors who do not wish to take a tour with others, but want to experience the fascination of BMW in a very intense and exclusive way. This tour, which also features assembly highlights, lasts about 3.5 hours. Exclusive Tours Plus are offered in German and English.

Learn all about autonomous transport systems, predictive maintenance, 3D printing processes, smart maintenance and many other innovative anddigital solutions used at our plant.

This exclusive guided tour is for groups of up to 12 people, but can also be geared towards individual visitors who do not wish to be accompanied on the tour by other visitors, but prefer to experience the fascination of innovation and digitalisation in a more exclusive way. The tour takes about 3.5 hours. The Innovation & Digitalisation Exclusive Guided Tour is offered in German or English.

Arriving from Munich, Hof/Weiden or Nuremberg/Berlin:
From highway A93 Holledau-Hof switch to highway A3 towards Passau. Leave A3 at exit 101 Regensburg-Ost. Follow signage „BMW Werk“.

Arriving from Passau:
Follow highway A3 towards Regensburg/Nuremberg. Leave A3 at exit 102 Neutraubling. Follow Staatsstraße 2145 towards Neutraubling.Follow signage „BMW Werk“.
