The BMW Group is owner and operator of the Wackersdorf Innovation Park. The BMW Group produces cockpits on site and handles the parts packing and the flow of material for the international BMW Group Plants (CKD production). In addition, partner companies produce carbon fibre sheets, seats, plastic parts or cockpit firing skins and they also pack parts for plants abroad.

Guided tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm after previous booking. Please note: Plant tours currently can only be offered in German.

Please note: Due to health and safety restrictions, we can currently not offer tours for wheelchair users.

Due to remodelling, tours of BMW Group Plant Wackersdorf are currently not available. We apologise for any inconvenience.


We offer the following options for guided tours:

One of our visitor guides will exclusively guide you through the production in a closed group of up to 12 people. The tour starts with an introduction to the history of Innovationpark Wackersdorf (initially planned as nuclear reprocessing plant). Afterwards you will visit the logistics centre where parts are shipped to BMW sites abroad and you will be able to take a closer look at some production areas. The duration of this exclusive guided tour is approximately 2 hours. We will focus on your interests and favourite topics as far as possible.
